  • NATE WALKER - Lead Pastor

    Nate has been the pastor of Christ Church since it first began in 2009.  He has degrees in Mathematics from Western Washington University (BS, MS) and went to seminary at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis (MDiv).  Nate is married to Shannon and has five children.  He loves any sport with a ball, reading, the outdoors, C. S. Lewis, and the Lord Jesus who has never failed him.

  • JONATHAN KIEL - Assistant Pastor of Discipleship


    Jonathan joined Christ Church in 2019 as Pastor of Discipleship. Originally from Alabama, he was an engineer before earning seminary degrees from Reformed Theological Seminary (MDiv, MA). He is currently completing his PhD in Old Testament Studies. Jonathan is married to Corrie, who also grew up in the South, and they have three children. Jonathan loves spending time with his family, mountain & road biking, drinking good coffee, and doing anything outdoors. He is excited to share the love of Christ and serve Bellingham through God’s work at Christ Church.

  • JON NEVILLE - Assistant Pastor & Church Planter


    Jon is originally from Colorado but most recently lived in Saint Louis.  He joined Christ Church Bellingham as Pastor of Community with the goal of launching a new church in Whatcom County. He is excited to see more churches planted in Bellingham and beyond.  Jon and his wife Michelle live in Samish neighborhood and enjoy walks, reading and picking up new hobbies.

  • CRAIG HARRIS - Assistant Pastor & Church Planter


    Craig joined Christ Church in the summer of 2018. He is originally from central Washington and is hoping to plant a church back there as well. He has degrees from Columbia Bible College (BS) and went to seminary at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis (MDiv). Craig is married to Jennifer and has four children. He loves making music, roasting coffee, anything outdoors, reading, and Jesus who gave up His life, for the life of the world.

  • RAY DECK III - Executive Director, Deacon (Chair)


    A serial intrapreneur, Ray Deck III has a decade of experience inciting change from within complex organizations. He leads Skookum Kids, a not-for-profit that cares for children in their first 72 hours of foster care. When he’s not wrestling with bureaucracy, you can find him running, surfing, or backpacking through the Cascades. But you should go look for him. He has a terrible sense of direction, and is probably lost. 

  • DIANA LIM - Head of School


    Diana serves as the Director of Trinity Classical School, a ministry of Christ Church Bellingham. She is married to her husband Arthur and they have three children- two daughters, Lily and Julianna and a son Ryder. Diana is passionate about Classical Christian education and the potential it holds for our children and community. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, skiing, camping in the family's 1960s vintage trailer and playing with her kids.

  • AMY BARON - Campus Coordinator

    Amy joined Christ Church 2019 as our Campus Coordinator. She oversees much of the office work and daily operations of the church. Amy is married to Geoff and they live with their three children in Bellingham. She enjoys running, rock climbing and reading all the books Nate mentions in his sermons.

  • TRACY SMITH - Bookkeeper


    Tracy has been the bookkeeper since 2012 and part of Christ Church since 2011. She is wife to Tyson and mother to Malakai, Grady & Isabel.

  • TABITHAH SCHWANDT - Children and Family Outreach Coordinator/Diaconal Assistant


    Tabithah Schwandt moved to Bellingham in August of 2014 and began attending Christ Church shortly thereafter. She is loving coastal living and has enjoyed exploring the beautiful beaches, mountains and lakes in Western Washington. Tabithah is married to John Schwandt and they have four (3 teens!) amazing kids. When she's not homeschooling or shuttling kids to and fro, Tabithah loves to cook people good food, run/hike in the woods, practice yoga, grow beautiful plants, do interior design and sew. She has a great desire to serve the women and children in our church.

  • NATHANIEL THOMPSON - RUF College Campus Minister


    Nathaniel (a Washington native) and his wife Suzy (a Georgia native) moved to Bellingham in

    2016 with their three children to start RUF at Western. They are here to get to know you and help you know Christ.

  • KEITH BODE - Elder (Clerk)


    Keith has been an Elder at Christ Church since March 2012. He is married to his wife Jayne for 35 years. They have three children and four grandchildren. Keith works as an attorney in Lynden. It is his prayer that Christ Church Bellingham effectively equips its members, nurtures its young, and evangelizes its community.



    Brannon has been an elder at Christ Church since June 2015. He married his wife Kate in 2003 while they were still in college, and they’ve since moved all over the country—and some of the world!—together. They have three kids: Lily (born in San Diego), Callum (born in Aberdeen, Scotland), and Isaac (born in Chicago). Brannon is the Associate Publisher for Lexham Press, a Christian publisher headquartered in Bellingham. His favorite physical activity is bouldering; his favorite mental and spiritual activity—and his desire for Christ Church—is to dive deeply into the reality that everything holds together in Jesus (Colossians 1:15–17).



    Paul has been an Elder at Christ Church since March 2012. Paul met his wife Renay at UC Davis. They have four children, Madeline, Gabrielle, Elise and Blaise. Paul works as a surgeon. It is his hope that we grow in the grace of God together as a church. 



    Mike Hollister has been an elder since 2015. He and his wife Amy have lived in Northwest Washington their whole lives, and have six delightful children. ​Mike is a journeyman financial services professional, has worked as a CPA, investment advisor and now works as an investment wholesaler. He wants to see families ​at Christ Church experience the tangible benefits of ​a deep grasp of Christian theology and have it shape every aspect of their life together​ as they become powerful instruments for the kingdom.

  • ART LIM - Elder


    Art has been an Elder at Christ Church since March 2012. Art met his wife Diana at Malibu Young Life camp where they served as leaders together. He is blessed with two beautiful girls, Lily and Julianna and a son named Ryder. Art works as a Firefighter for the city of Kirkland. He is excited to serve as an Elder for Christ Church and hopes to continue to see our congregation live gospel centered lives together with much grace and joy.



    Chris has been an Elder at Christ Church since March 2012. Chris met his wife Lisa at Northwestern College in Iowa. He is blessed with three children, Gabe, Calvin and Anna. Chris also works as a Orthopedic Surgeon. As an elder he hopes to see the Lord's grace more clearly in all our lives as we build Christ Church and serve one another.

  • TYSON SMITH - Deacon (Chair of the Missions Committee)


    Tyson and his wife Tracy became members of CCB in 2013.  They have been blessed with three wonderful children, Kai, Grady and Isabel, which they can be found trailing most days.  He works around the Northwest with Armor Industrial.  Tyson has a heart for participating and witnessing the impact of Christ felt throughout the world. 

  • JAMES VAN NOORD - Deacon


    James Van Noord joined Christ Church in 2012. He is a transplant to the PNW and resides in the Birchwood neighborhood with his wife, Rebecca, and daughter, Penelope. He has a heart for welcoming visitors and caring for the needs of the CCB community. He is a software developer by day, and a baby entertainer and backyard project enthusiast by night. 

  • RYAN WYNNE - Deacon & Finance Committee


    Ryan has been a Deacon since 2014.  Ryan met his beautiful wife, Meagan, in high school.  They have four children, Dylan, Evan, Grayson and Morgan.  Ryan works as an endodontist in Bellingham.  He is excited to cultivate a culture of showing Christ's love in tangible ways to our community.
