CCB Youth: Making Joyful Disciples of Jesus
CCB Youth exists to partner with parents in making joyful disciples of Jesus in the world. Everything we do revolves around spiritual friendship and spiritual formation—helping teens connect and grow in their love of God and assisting parents in their discipleship. CCB Youth is a place for the teens of Whatcom County to find community, belonging, and meaning in Jesus.
What to expect at youth group
Thursdays from 7:00–9:00 at the church:
Middle school (7th–8th grade) and high school are separate, except for singing and the lesson.
We do a game or activity, have a time of singing, hear an interactive lesson from Scripture, and break into age- and gender-based small groups for further discussion.

Bigger or Better: Lynden Edition
Get ready for one of our favorite events of the year! Bigger or Better is a fast-paced, community-wide scavenger hunt where teams compete to see who can trade a single jumbo paperclip for the most incredible items in Lynden.

❓ What is "Bigger or Better"?
Teams of 3–5 students start with a single paperclip. Their mission is to knock on doors in assigned Lynden neighborhoods and ask neighbors to trade that item for something "bigger or better." Through a series of trades, teams aim to bring back the most impressive item they can find before the clock runs out!
⏰ The Master Schedule
6:30 PM: Check-in and team formation at the Bender Fields shelter.
6:40 PM:The Kickoff! Teams receive their starting paperclip and Mission Cards.
6:40 PM – 8:20 PM: The Trading Window. Teams explore their assigned launch zones.
8:20 PM:HARD STOP. All teams must be back at Bender Fields to be eligible for prizes.
8:20 PM – 8:30 PM: The Great Reveal and Award Ceremony.
🏆 Awards & Judging
Items will be judged in three prestigious categories:
The Goliath: The physically largest or heaviest item.
The Goldmine: The item with the highest estimated resale value.
The Lynden Special: The most unique or quintessentially "Lynden" item.
🛡️ Safety & Community Guidelines
To ensure a fun and safe environment for everyone, we strictly enforce the following rules:
Groups of 3+: Students must stay with their team at all times.
Porch-Only: Students are never permitted to enter a private residence.
Porch Light Rule: Only knock if the porch light is on. Respect all "No Soliciting" signs.
Direct Trade: Items must be traded, not purchased. No cash can be exchanged.
Ready to Play? All students must have a completed registration and waiver to participate.
